Accidents Happen

So if your wondering how the potty training is going, weve had a few bumps in the road. Overall though he's getting it! There alot of Stickers on his chart.

Yes, we are in a store and that is a puddle of pee, poor kid. Leaving the house without a Pullup as a safety net is a dangerous game. I wonder how many other moms out there deal with puddles of pee or worse in the middle of shopping after you just took them to the bathroom?

These portable potty seats are the best, they can go on the toliet or fold out anywhere and they come with disposable liners and fit in your purse. As long as you don't get embarassed letting you child pee in a parking lot, the side of the road etc., its better than in the carseat right.

Such a good boy peeing in his potty outside Target.

The Search is on

We are looking for a Preschool for Blake to go to a couple half days a week. It's a lot more work than I thought it would be! The interviews, tours, the heat and trying to explain to Blake that he isn't going to school today. He walked into each school saying Hi I'm Blake and this is my brother Shawn. At one school he even ran and sat at the lunch table with the kids, he's my little cutie and definitely not shy.

He also spent the day losing all his little characters at each school. At the last one he cried that he left his purple octopus, Kevin went back and searched for it while we waited in the car. He came back empty handed, as Blake starts melting down crying, then he says "I found it Daddy! It's in my butt " He was sitting on it.

Walking with Circus Tricks

Shawn was walking at 9 months, and at 10 months he has decided to show off his skills. He carries items in both hands and his mouth, heavy stuff all the time. He does turns and circles and climbs up the stairs (don't worry we have gates). He's my crazy baby.

WARNING: Poop in Post

It's kind of sad that I'm afraid of this.....

But I am. Why you ask? Because I have made a few attempts to potty train before. Blake is almost 3 years old and I think he should be potty trained by now. But last time I tried I made the mistake of buying him this DVD (he was heavy into his Thomas the Train phase)

I'm sure you can guess how this story ends, he needed mud for his trains to play in and we had been talking about nothing but poop that week. I put him down for a nap and a couple minutes later a smell was all over the living room. I went in his room and found this...

No thats not chocolate pudding!
It hard to see from the photos but it was everywhere, in all his trains the tracks the perimeter of his bed, in his bed etc. Worst of all it happened twice before. I was too upset to photograph it, it was much worse. Were talking caveman wall poop fingerpainting. I am kind of crazy when it comes to germs too so everything had to be hosed off and then bleached.

So now we are giving it another go. I've heard other moms saying the 3 day potty training method works on the
http://www.thebump.com/ boards and have decided to give that a try. It is a decent read about 40 pages and once I find time to read it, we'll start again, keep your fingers crossed for me.

Our Day

Our Day Today consisted of bubbles in the morning, then beach a Grandma & Grandpas, the playground, Publix for dinner, then home.

Blake playing bubbles while Shawn was napping

I took Blake kayaking for the 1st time, which he calls his boat

Grandma got stung by a jellyfish

Playing at the playground, soo hot out, atleast it's a covered one

Shopping for dinner. Blake took out all the fruit in the bags and replaced them with his action figures, it was really fun at the checkout counter

And he's out

A NEW WAY TO COLOR

Crayola has this cool new application on their website called Lights, Camera, Color, that allows you to make your own coloring pages from your personal photos! We printed a ton of pages of all the dogs, Shawn, Grandma and Grandpa, cousins etc. Why would I ever buy another coloring book? You can also add things to the photos or create a totally new page with Disney characters, animals, backgrounds, borders and other objects. You get the promo code from crayola products or just google free trial and you can find a bunch for free.

Here's a pic of Blake from yesterdays post and he added a dolphin, crab, Buzz Light Year etc. using the program.
Side Note: How cute is Blake's outfit, did you notice the little shrimp on his shorts?

Summertime Sunset Swim

After dinner we had a sunset swim in our pool, Blake is obsessesd with swimming, he can swim on his own wearing his Puddle Jumper float. I really recommend it if you have a toddler, especially if your like me and you have more than one and you want to take them to the beach or pool on your own. You can buy them at Target of course. I know what your thinking you let Blake swim naked aren't you worried about poop, don't worry he went right before, I'm not crazy. We played Marco Polo, made some huge cannon balls, and Blake pretended he was a Sea Horse, then a Shark, it was a good time.

Have you tried these? We went to publix to get dinner and apparently everyone has now discovered PF Chang's Frozen meals because they were completely sold out. They are really good, bummer.
