Calusa Nature Center's Haunted Walk

We brought the kids to the Calusa Nature Center where they got to wear their costumes and trick or treat through the forest. At each stop the volunteers are holding a different animal that you can pet and get candy. Snake, baby alligator, possum etc. I love coming here so fun!

Creepy Jello, Scary Carmen

We made these a couple days ago, creepy lab dishes. We bought a kit from target, it's basically gummy bugs and jello in lab dishes, but they turned out really cute and the boys love having them for dessert.

Trunk or Treat!

Tonight was Trunk or Treat at Blake's school. If you don't know what that is (I didn't) cars line up on either side of the street and open their trunks which are decorated for Halloween (some have specific themes) and let the kids trick or treat and visit each trunk. SO FUN! This was our first time ever doing one apparently they are big up north and with churches. We volunteered to be the class trunk, they wanted you to design the trunk around a craft that the kids made. I decided on the theme "The Not So Scary Haunted House", from Mickey Mouse. I thought it would be perfect because Blake loves haunted houses, ghosts, skeletons, bats etc. but only if they aren't too scary.
I came into his class and made hand print spiders with the kids and foam pumpkins and used them in the design.
We hand made the haunded house out of plywood spray painted it black and glittered the door orange and the roof and shutters green. Then hot glued the roof line with candycorns and added little touches like the light up skeleton door knob, webbing,  flying bats, a stone path with rocks, moss leaves and the kids pumpkins in the pumpkin patch and then made the other part of my trunk door the spider web with all their spiders. Almost everything in and it either lit up or talks also. I thought it turned out great!

Blake loves Spongebob now, and this was so cute, they nailed it.

The crowd, it was packed.

This class did owls in the tree, cute.

Monster Mash, adorable!

Blake was not a fan of the spaghetti brains, messy messy, it was hard to get it off his hands
Here's another trunk that had a haunted house

So cute love this one!

Boo at the Zoo

We went too Boo at the Zoo today. They have trick or treating throughout the zoo and you can dress in costume. The problem was it was like 100 degrees out so my kids didn't wear them. They enjoyed for an hour which was plenty of time to see everything and get some trick or treating in. Then e headed home before we had heat stroke.
Look how red Blake's cheeks are

Blake tells me "Mommy I need to go in there". I tried to explain this isn't Dora the explorer you can't play with the alligator.
