I saw these stained glass sugar cookies in a Martha Stewart magazine and wanted to give them a try. She made hers into ornaments but I knew they'd be eaten as soon as they were made so why bother. If you want them to be ornaments add a hole at the top and add string.
First you take hard candies (Jolly Ranchers) and crush them up into small pieces |
Then you cut out the cookiesand put them on the cookie sheet and the use a knife to cut an area in the center to put the candies.
Put in the candies and refrigerate for 15 minutes and then bake a usual. Take out before edges brown to avoid, bubbling in the stained glass part. |
